Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 1982) is an acclaimed American actor. She is most famously known for her role played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After her parents divorced, they moved together with their mother in Los Angeles. Her first role came to her, as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001 despite struggling financially. The film for television Murder in Greenwich that she appeared in, where she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. The show featured her as the principal protagonist for two seasons and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to pursue an even more prominent role in movies, and had a role alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice in Malice in Wonderland a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon in Lost and the final episode. She was in 2013 for the sixth episode of Californication. She plays Faith as a girl who acts as a muse to the stars and catches the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She's the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit more senior than Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager she appeared in small roles in the films of her father and co-starred with her older twin brother on Donnie Darko, a famous cult film. Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim in both of her roles as the lead in Secretary (2002), which is an erotic romantic drama and Sherrybaby (2006). The actress received a nomination from her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. Her fame grew when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercials she appeared in during 2006. She was nominated to win an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress due to her part on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). In the following years, she appeared in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and The Won't Back Down (2012). Her other roles include the role of a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) as well as a singer in the film Frank (2014) as well as the title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal began her career as screenwriter and director in 2021, when she wrote and directed her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter. The film won Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by The Academy Award. Academy Award.
