Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is best known for films like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into entertainment early and began acting in lead roles on various series on TV by the time she turned 16. Her highly acclaimed performance on the television film made for TV Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that in the role of Hitler's Secretary Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically popular Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated films that feature female stars. Alexandra worked on several notable projects both at home and abroad over the past few years. This includes The British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time and as French historic Miniseries Napoleon. Also, she was on juries at Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
