Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 she portrayed the lead character in various television dramas. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall.
